AutoRun GC AutoSampler

The AutoRun GC AutoSampler is a production-proven mechanical autosampling system designed for integration with drilling operations.

It automates physical sample capture at the rig, removing manual handling while ensuring consistent, representative samples suitable for large-scale grade-control programs.

The GC AutoSampler is primarily for use on grade control and blast hole rigs in the mining environment where a sample needs to be taken. The GC AutoSampler also utilises the RayTrac RFID digital sample tracking system, meaning that every bag handled is correctly allocated its depth, number sequence and time per hole.

The sample data is then uploaded live to the client’s database without the need for any human supervision. Total sampling automation increases shift time using less labour, meaning more meters per day drilled at less cost.

The GC AutoSampler can be customised to fit most drill and blast rig types and some conventional exploration RC rig types.

In 2021 AutoRun with BHP and Ausdrill won the Western Australia Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety Invention of the Year Award.

AutoRun was also a finalist in the 2020 BHP Global HSEC Safety and Innovation Awards for involvement and deployment of the GC AutoSampler Rig with Ausdrill and Sitech.
